Samantha Mohr

Mohr was an UGA student who entered her first pageant, after having been advised by a fellow student. She was awarded Miss Columbus 1985. Mohr was then eligible to be a part of Miss Georgia. Miss Georgia pageant, which was held in June of 1985. Mohr was the winner of Saturday's contest, which took place on June 22nd, 1985. The winner earned more than $3,500 in cash scholarships as well as other prizes from the state pageant. Her activities as Miss Georgia included public appearances at locations across Georgia. Mohr took part as Miss Georgia in Miss America 1986 in Atlantic City (New Jersey) in September 1985. Through computer-generated modeling, which successfully predicated the likelihood that Susan Akin would be named Miss America, Mohr's odds were set at 22 to 1. Mohr was not on the list of the top 10 contenders for the title of Miss America. Mohr's reign as Miss Georgia continued until Marlesa Ball was elected Miss Georgia 1986. Samantha Samantha Samantha
